Did You Know?

Being a student is nothing to take lightly and in most cases students are much too busy to explore anything outside of their busy lives as students. I personally have discovered that I invest lots of time on campus, but I do not know as much as I should about campus life. To get the ball rolling with discussion, The Signal went the extra mile and asked a few of the UHCL offices what they thought students might not know about their offices.

Did you know that IISS stands for Intercultural and International Student Services?  Assistant Dean of Student Diversity, Linda Bullock Reports “Intercultural means EVERYONE, so the office of Intercultural and International Student Services offers services, programming, and support for ALL students at UHCL.”

Susan Prihoda of the Health and Disability office said most students don’t know that their office offer health education and immunizations for students who travel the world.

These are just a few facts that students might not know about the offices housed at UHCL. The Signal will offer more “did you know” information about campus offices, but we would love to hear from you. What are some things you would like to know regarding what UHCL has to offer?
