24 Hour Film Race 2011

Registration is now open for the 24 Hour Film Race 2011!

The 24 Hour Film Race 2011 is an international competition that challenges filmmakers everywhere to create short films (4 minutes max) in just 24 hours from April 29-30.

This year is the best yet! Filmmakers will upload their video instead of having to drive to a central location and drop off a physical copy of their film! The winner of the 2011 Film Race will receive a prize of $4,000.

The 2011 competition is scheduled to kick off at 10 p.m., April 29.  Filmmakers are emailed a Theme (ex. Revenge, Spare Change, A Trade, etc…) and Surprise Elements (ex. A Prop and/or Action) which must be included in the film.  Filmmakers have until 9:59 p.m., April 30 to write, shoot, and edit an original short film and upload the finished film to filmracing.com.

Filmmakers have the option of premiering their film at theaters in over 15 cities across North America. The top 24 films from the competition will be invited to a gala screening and awards ceremony in New York on July 16.

Register your team at http://www.filmracing.com/24/24HourFilmRace.htm and use the discount code FILMRACER24 for $10 off the entry fee.

Final entry deadline is April 27, 2011.
