UHCL Mascot Finalists Named

Below is an announcement from the UCHL Mascot Leadership Team:

UHCL’s five-phase Mascot Search Process began in early spring 2011 with more than 1,400 mascot ideas submitted for consideration. Your input throughout the semester guided the selection of four finalists, which, in alphabetical order, are Blue Heron, Buck (deer), Egret and Hawk. THANK YOU to all who participated in this first phase of the search process; now we move on to the next phase!

Artwork contest begins

Phase II officially begins with an invitation for students, alumni, faculty and staff to participate in the Mascot Creative Contest. The entry deadline is 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, so be sure to review the contest rules and submission guidelines today.
