Their ability to accept the fact that I am always busy and still love me regardless.

I cannot let go of things easily. I insist that things are done to my liking.

Freelancing for the Houston Press
7. What is your dream of happiness?
To make sure that I am doing what I love after I graduate
8. What to your mind would be the greatest misfortune?
Honestly, at this point, it would be to see SGA fall back to its old invisible self after all of the exposure I have helped give it among staff and students.

The United States of America!!!

Purple

Confidence.

Intelligence. I mean if we can’t carry on a decent conversation that’s pretty much the end of that.
4. What do you value most in your friends?
You know, I’m not sure if my friends really have anything in common. A sense of humor certainly ranks up there, though.
5. What is your principal defect?
I tend to procrastinate – more than a few assignments due at midnight I turn in at 11:30.
6. What is your favorite occupation?
Camping, backpacking, wandering around in the middle of the desert. In West Texas are the most beautiful sunrises you’ll ever see. Not to mention you can actually see stars unlike in Houston.
7. What is your dream of happiness?
I’m not quite sure how to answer that, but I particularly like toast. So I’m sure my dream of happiness will somehow involve toast.
8. What to your mind would be the greatest misfortune?
Personally, I don’t know what I’d do if my computer just stops working. (I just got a new one)
9. What would you like to be?
What I am. I want to improve myself over time, but that’s more of a direction than a checkpoint.
10. In what country would you like to live?
The States. I’ve been in a few other countries: Canada, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and I’d like to go back at some point, but this one is home.
11. What is your favorite color?
Well I’m colorblind…so let’s say green.
12. What is your favorite flower?
Sunflowers. They’re pretty.
13. What is your favorite bird?
The Hawk! That’s a ridiculously pandering answer, but I’m okay with that.
14. Who are your favorite prose writers?
I don’t read fiction as much, but there’s nothing that beats Mark Twain.
15. Who are your favorite poets?
Walt Whitman’s work is beautiful and Edgar Allen Poe makes me laugh. I’m not sure what that says about my sense of humor…
16. Who are your favorite fictional heroes?
Pretty much anyone played by Jimmy Stewart. Or Woody from Toy Story.
17. Who are your favorite fictional heroines?
Dory from Finding Nemo. I didn’t really identify that strongly with heroes in books I’ve read, male or female.
18. Who are your favorite composers?
Tchaikovsky and John Williams.
19. Who are your favorite painters?
I only know of about 3, so I’ll pass if you don’t mind.
20. Who are your heroes in real life?
Mahatma Gandhi and Clarence Darrow. Both were lawyers – go figure.
21. Who are your favorite heroines of history?
Queen Elizabeth the First. As far as I can tell, one of the few leaders of her time that wasn’t a terrible despot.
22. What are your favorite names?
Otto and Catherine are pretty great.
23. What do you most dislike?
Pimento cheese. I’m not a fan.
24. What historical figures do you most despise?
Julius Caesar. Turned the world’s largest republic into a dictatorship overnight, and it was hundreds of years before another truly democratic nation emerged.
25. What event in military history do you most admire?
The surrenders of Germany and Japan in World War II. Aside from the soldiers, wars don’t have much worth admiring.
26. What reform do you most admire?
Demokratizatsiya (Democratisation) under the Soviet Union. It was the first time Russia made a move toward democracy. Most admired because it led to the downfall of the Berlin Wall and strict communist rule throughout Europe.
27. What natural gift would you most like to possess?
Eidetic memory. It would be extremely helpful when final exams start up.
28. How would you like to die?
Something quick. I’m not terribly concerned about it.
29. What is your present state of mind?
Tired.
30. To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
I probably like chocolate a little too much, but who doesn’t?

I don’t have a motto, but I believe Mark Twain was just about the most intelligent person who ever lived; “To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence.”
