‘Who Am I’

I am sin in the Garden of Eden
I am the calm of a vicious storm
I am the rain storm survived by Noah
I am the sun that keeps you warm

I am Oprah Winfrey speaking on the mountain
I am Tyler Perry living on the screen
I am the fear of a horrible nightmare
I am the essence of a beautiful dream

I am the tears that flow at night
I am the smile shining through the day
I am the darkness that hides the path
I am the light that reveals the way

I am the soul in love with Jesus
I am the flesh born attracted to sin
I am the sadness suffered with all defeats
I am the joy felt with every win

I am redemption at the Cross of Calvary
For it was Jesus who took my place
I am the mercy of God’s wonderful sacrifice
I am the fruit of God’s marvelous grace

I am everything that God says I am
I am all that I aspire to be
I am a gift that stands before you
For it was the Lord who created me
