TRI BETA to go on an Owl Prowl

Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society (TRI BETA) will be at Armand Bayou Nature Center for an owl-spotting nature walk on Oct. 14.

Armand Bayou Nature Center hosts the Owl Prowl on full moon nights of each month. The Owl Prowl consists of a guided nature walk while looking and listening for owls. This event is open to people ages 6 and up. Any participant under the age of 18 is required to have the accompaniment of an adult.

Advanced reservations are required and may be made by calling Armand Bayou Nature Center at 713-274-2688. Payment is due at the time the reservation is made. Adult tickets are $10 each; children and senior tickets are $8. Members receive discounts.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. but Armand Bayou Nature Center recommends arriving early. Adults may bring flashlights and everyone must wear appropriate walking gear such as boots or sneakers.

There are 18 spots available for the tour.
