UHCL Police install new bicycle racks

New bicycle racks and signs have popped up around campus to accommodate for more bicycles and different types of locking systems. University Police ask that no bicycles be secured to handrails, light poles or benches.

University Police have seen bicycles secured to handrails near the Bayou Building, which poses an issue for anyone who may need to use the handrail for assistance. If a bicycle rack is full, look for another rack around the building that has space.

Starting Jan. 30, UHCL police will impound bicycles that are secured to handrails or are an obstruction for pedestrians. Impounded bicycles will be stored at the Police Department located in Bayou Building, Room 1636. For more information visit http://www.uhcl.edu/police or call 281-283-2222.
