UHCL SGA opens Executive Council position applications

UHCL Student Government Association (SGA) has opened the applications for SGA Executive Council positions. Positions available to apply for are: student body president, vice president-committee coordinator, vice president-student outreach and communication, and vice president-administrator.

Minimum requirements to apply include: must be currently enrolled at UHCL and plan to be enrolled through spring 2018; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; must be an officially designated representative of a recognized UHCL student organization. Students who are not affiliated with a student organization at the time of application must attend to this requirement immediately upon election to a position with SGA.

All current UHCL students should have received an email containing the application in their UHCL email. Students can also find the application here.

Before submitting an application, all applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss the duties and expectations with the incumbent and with the SGA Advisor.

To submit an application, complete the application form and email it to SGA@uhcl.edu and Reitburger@uhcl.edu or turn in a completed application to the Student Life Office in SSCB 1.204. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, April 12 at noon.

Elections will be held the week of April 18-24 via email. All candidates are expected to attend the election meeting, make a brief presentation, and answer questions that SGA Representatives may have.
