Campus Activities Board’s Fall Festival welcomes the season

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) welcomed the fall season by hosting a fall festival for students Thursday, Oct. 19 as part of its Harvestivities. The event brought students together to play games, carve pumpkins and embrace the fall season.

“We have different games – volleyball, corn hole, hillbilly golf – and we have different food like popcorn, pie, candy and different sodas and drinks,” said Kate Rivardo, vice president of CAB. “We also have pumpkin carving and pumpkin painting.”

The fall festival was free to attend and the food and drinks were complementary.

Many other student organizations and groups contributed to the event.

The Office of Orientation and New Student Programs brought crafts while the Office of Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion supplied the pumpkins for pumpkin carving and painting.

“This is one of the biggest and best events that I would say we’ve ever had in the two years that we have been here at UHCL,” said Joe Riley, CAB member. “We are looking forward to new and exciting events to come.”
