Hawks raise more than $11,000 during #GivingTuesday

The spirit of UHCL thrived on Nov. 28 for #GivingTuesday as UHCL supporters united and gave back to the university. Though this day is nationally recognized, #HawksGivingBack did more than just give as they also made an impact on ensuring student success.

Hawks giving back shared why they support UHCL and posted an #unselfie photo to social media.

“I support UHCL because we change the world for the better,” UHCL President Ira Blake shared.

Within 24 hours, 148 Hawks, including students, staff and alumni, came together and raised $11,466.90, which will help fund six scholarships and 12 programs.
