A note from Campus Recreation and Wellness courtesy of Facebook:

“The giving season is upon us and The Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness would like to share in the spirit of giving with our 1st Annual Animal Shelter Angel Tree in the Fitness Room. If you are not familiar with an angel tree, instead of ornaments, there are donation requests and you can pick one up, go purchase the requested item, drop it back off, and a single large donation will be made to an organization.

The Campus Recreation and Wellness student staff have decided to create this Animal Shelter Angel Tree to give back to the community and they have selected the League City Animal Shelter. We are partnering with the League City Animal Shelter to collect donations of food, toys, litter, collars, gift cards, and cleaning supplies that are needed by the shelter. If you are interested in making a donation, you can stop by the Fitness Room, get a donation sheet with a needed item, purchase the item, bring it back to the Fitness Room and drop it off with our student staff, and we will take it to the shelter on Tuesday, December 19.

While picking up an information sheet or dropping off any items, you can also take a look at the floor plans of the new Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.

Thank you in advance for your support of our student staff’s initiative and participation in our efforts and we look forward to donating all items on Tuesday, December 19 to the League City Animal Shelter.
