UHCL recognizes Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce
Recognizing the accomplishments for the past year, University of Houston-Clear Lake President William A. Staples presented his annual Report to the Community in late March at Lakewood Yacht Club. During the breakfast event, Staples also honored the recipient of the 2013 Community Partnership Award – the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

Awards presented for leadership, philanthropy
University of Houston-Clear Lake President William A. Staples thanked university friends, faculty and staff during his annual President’s Cabinet Dinner in late February. During the evening dinner, he presented the President’s Cabinet Leadership Award to university friends Satish and Kamlesh Agarwal, while the 2013 President’s Cabinet Philanthropy Award was presented to UHCL alumna Sheryl Lightfoot Johns.
