COMMUNITY UPDATES: Robbery takes place in Parking Lot D
The following was sent as a message from UHCL Alert.
UHCL ALERT: Robbery
At approximately 2:09 PM today, September 21, 2022, a suspect broke into a vehicle in Lot D attempting to steal items. When approached by the vehicle owner, the suspect left the scene in a black colored SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee or something similar. The victim believes an attempt was made to strike him with the vehicle as it left the scene. UHCL PD responded to the scene at 2:20pm and are investigating.Suspect: Hispanic male; 5’8″; 20-25 years of age; stocky build; curly dark brown hair; white t-Shirt and black shorts.Suspect #2: Unknown driver of the black SUV.If you have additional information regarding this incident, please call the UHCL Police Dispatch.Safety Tips:Always secure your vehicleDo not leave valuables in your vehicleBe alert to your surroundingsReport Suspicious Activity to the police departmentUse UHCL PD’s security escort service if you feel unsafe walking to your vehicle
