How to Look Like Everyone Else for Halloween

RANDI NULL
THE SIGNAL
Halloween is the one time of year where you can be anything you want to be, or in some cases, something you would not ever want to be.

There are always the classic costumes. You have your princesses, your monsters, super heroes and nerds, but some choose to go with “trendier” subjects for their costumes.

Even with a plethora of pop culture icons and chart-topping moments to choose from this year, you are bound to see some repeats. To help save you from the embarrassing “I thought my costume was so clever and unique, but everyone here has it” moment (yes, that is a thing), here is a list of some of this year’s most popular costumes (as determined by the most searched costumes in Google Shopping):

Walter White

1. Walter White/Heisenberg from “Breaking Bad” – He’s not the only one either; “Breaking Bad” characters will be everywhere. The same can be said for “The Walking Dead.”

2. Miley Cyrus – If you thought that was a unique idea, just stop now. Robin Thicke costumes are on the rise as well; looks like it’s the couples’ costume of the year.

Daft Punk

3. Daft Punk – I can see it: weird helmet, matching gloves and a shiny suit; seems easy enough. Apparently it’s a costly endeavor, but if you’re crafty, you can figure it out.

4. The Evil Minions! – The “Despicable Me” minions have been popular for quite some time now, but this year, their evil counterparts are taking center stage.

Daenerys Targaryen

5. Daenerys Targaryen from “Game of Thrones” – Easy, elegant, not too revealing; can’t get mad at this one. Plus, you can recycle the costume down the road by saying you’re Aphrodite.

What else is at the top of the list? Anything “Duck Dynasty,” “Gatsby,” and the guy from the “What Does the Fox Say?” video.

Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Happy Halloween.
