CLASP Lecture ‘The Ike Dike: A Coastal Barrier System’

Description:  Consider the effects of a barrier system to Houston and Galveston in light of recent hurricanes in a talk at UHCL. “The Ike Dike: A Coastal Barrier System Protecting Houston and Galveston Region from Hurricane Storm Surges” will be presented by Colonel Leonard Waterworth, executive professor of maritime administration at Texas &M University at Galveston.

The event is free and open to the public, courtesy of the Clear Lake Association of Senior Programs “Visions in Our Midst” Distinguished Speaker Series. All ages are welcome.
