Adulting at Dave & Buster’s

I have not done my homework this week because I was having to much fun at Dave & Buster’s.

Dave & Buster’s is the newest addition at the Baybrook Mall expansion. It’s basically a Chuckie Cheese for adults. There is great food, tons of games, and awesome prizes.

When I first entered Dave & Buster’s, I was immediately ID’d. This came as a shock to me because I thought this was a kids place. I was obviously wrong and realized this soon because

I saw tons of people with alcoholic drinks everywhere. I guess they don’t want children running around disturbing the adults. There were still a handful of kids running around and throwing basketballs but they were probably brought in with their parents. The kids were probably the only negative thing I have to say about my expereince at Dave & Buster’s (D&B).

It was a nice twist to see so many adults return to their child-like selves. Full grown adults were jumping up and down when they won tickets (points). Even 40-year-olds were competitive by seeing who could get the most basketballs points.

This place doesn’t just come loaded with games, but there is also restaurant and bar. Of course, I’m not old enough for the bar so I can’t give my input on that part of D&B just yet, but I did have a chance to taste their food, and surprisingly, it was delicious! The Philly cheesesteak was by far the best I’ve ever had and, trust me, I have had many in my lifetime.

The wait was long probably due to the high volume of customers. The time to be seated was about one hour, but with friends and tons of arcade games it felt like 10 minutes. The prices are not bad at all; I paid about $30 and got tons of tokens to play and a meal.

Dave & Buster’s is definitely a place worth checking out if you plan to procrastinate on homework. Looks like I know where I’ll be for the next week. Farewell homework! (Evil laugh)
