POETRY: ‘Poetry’
Contributed by: Natalia Marfil, biology major
It’s such a pity, really;
you carried with you
such a rare kind of love.
And I was looking forward
to holding it,
unfolding it,
and molding it
into one beautiful poem.
But I forgot
how to be a writer,
too busy acting human.
And I threw away my words,
in an attempt
to be a lover.
And it truly is;
a pity, I mean
because I fell too easily
And if I’d only loved you less,
I would have loved you more.
