Become a LGBTQ ally at UHCL

The Office of Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will offer LGBTQ Ally Training Thursday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Student Organization Meeting Room, SSCB 1.202.07.

The LGBTQ Ally program aims to identify, educate and support the UHCL faculty, staff and students who consider themselves open and knowledgeable about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) issues and who choose to openly provide support and advocate for LGBTQ individuals.

Offices and student organizations can request a separate training that can be modified to address specific concerns that students might have when interacting with an individual office or student organization. Separate trainings for offices and student organizations must have at least five attendees.
