Student UHCL Relief Center Open

MESSAGE FROM THE STUDENT LIFE OFFICE

Yesterday participating offices and student organizations hosted a Hawks Helping Hawks donation drive. The donation drive gave our UHCL community an opportunity to donate goods and materials to help support those students impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The event was a success and many goods were collected.

We would now like to invite those students in need of canned food and other non-perishable items, school supplies, and personal items to visit the Dean of Students Office reception desk for assistance in collecting these items.  Our office is located on the first floor of the Student Services Classroom Building (SSCB) in the main lobby area. You will be directed to the specific office area that is distributing specific items.

Thank you to all students, faculty, staff, and alumni that donated your time, goods, and even funds to the Hawks Helping Hawks program. We would also like to thank the Student Life Office for organizing the Harvey Relief Committee, which consisted of student leaders, faculty, and staff. We would also like to thank the Student Government Association, Office of Orientation and New Student Programs, and Office of Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for their efforts in distributing the items collected to those in need. If anyone would like to donate, please contact studentlife@uhcl.edu for assistance.
