Q: Who are some women (real or fictional) you look up to most? Why?
A: From Women’s History: Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Sanger, Gerda Lerner, Ruth Bader Ginsberg. My mother.
Q: What are some problems you anticipate/have encountered as a woman in your field?
My discipline/field of history was more supportive of women than some; I have found support for my career in history at UHCL & in College of HSH.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: Feminism and Women’s and Gender Studies, colleagues & friends, family and pets (and a properly brewed cup of tea)
Q: What advice would you give to other women and young girls?
A: Find your passion/preferred work and pursue it.
