INTERACTIVE MAP: Student discounts in the Clear Lake area
UHCL students have access to many different discounts at business in the area, but finding out exactly where they are and aren’t can be difficult. The search ends here!

Be sure to keep an eye out for online discounts as well! Here are a few websites offering student discounts:
- The New York Times offers a $1 a week discounted subscription for students when they a sign up using an .edu email address.
- The Wall Street Journal offers students a discounted subscription of $15 for 15 weeks with access to print, online and digital access. Just use your .edu email address to qualify.
- Adobe offers student discounts on its software programs. For example, students can get all apps for $19.99/month or Photoshop and Lightroom for $9.99/month when they sign up using their .edu email address.
- Amazon is an online marketplace offering everything from textbooks to vacuum cleaners. Amazon offers students free 2-day shipping for 6 months and a half price subscription after the 6-month period ends.
